Allison Bartelstone first joined the predecessor to the Simpson Law Group in 2005 as an associate attorney after practicing corporate litigation and family law at boutique firms in Los Angeles.
An experienced litigator, Allison brings an unparalleled passion and dedication to her practice. Raised as the only child of a divorced single working mother, she knows firsthand the emotional and financial toll divorce proceedings take on the entire family. She has experience in handling a wide variety of cases involving complex legal issues, and prides herself as not only an excellent writer but effective oral advocate. She has an extensive knowledge of the law and takes a direct and rational approach aimed at skillful resolution of her cases.
Allison graduated from UCLA in 2000 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in History. There, she served as the Director of Archives for her sorority, Delta Gamma. As an undergraduate student Allison concentrated her additional course work in Art History and French and earned a Certificate of French Language and Civilization from the Sorbonne in Paris, France.
Allison’s passion for legal research, persuasive writing and oral advocacy were honed while competing in the Vincent S. Dalsimer and Armand Arabian Advocacy Moot Court competitions as a law student at Pepperdine University, where she graduated from in 2003.
During her second year of law school, Allison procured an internship with the Los Angeles District Attorney, where she worked as a Law Clerk in the Legal Writing and Research Division in Malibu.
As a third year law student, Allison was offered an internship as a Certified Law Clerk in the Criminal Felony Prosecution Unit at the Los Angeles Country District Attorney’s Office in Downtown LA, where she conducted felony preliminary hearings under the supervision of a District Attorney. She was charged with obtaining witness statements, gathering documentary evidence, then orally presenting to the Judge all of the elements required to formally charge criminals for prosecution within the department. Her ability to quickly assimilate information, interview witnesses and clearly and concisely present it to the Judge primed her for her future career as a family law attorney.
Allison has been married for fourteen years and has three children. Being in a long term marriage allows Allison to relate to her clients on a deeply personal level, and being a working mother of young children provides her with a unique insight as to what children are growing up with in today’s fast moving society and the challenges they face.
Allison has served as the Chair for multiple Committees on the Westlake Elementary Parent-Faculty Association, and is a Volunteer with California Dance Theater. In her free time, she enjoys cooking for family and friends, seeking out upcoming wine makers, and partaking in a variety fitness classes including hot power yoga, ballet and running.
After taking a sabbatical to devote herself fully to raising her children, Allison is thrilled and honored to re-join the Simpson Law Group
